Tarte Tatin

Fall Apple

Tarte Tatin, the good old french classic, our favourite forever, there are many versions, this one is very easy and delicious.

Serve with Creme Fraiche as the French.

1 tart, serves 6

4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup/100g sugar teaspoon sugar
7 Gala apples, peeled, cored and quartered
1 large sheet/250 g puff pastry
Preheat oven to 425F/220ÂșC.
In a large frying pan that can be placed in an oven melt butter and sugar.
Arrange the apples on top.
Place the sheet of puff pastry over and tuck the corner into the pan.
Place in the oven and bake until golden, 18-20 minutes.
Remove from oven and turned upside down with the help of a platter.
If some of the apples are stuck in the pan simply remove them with a fork and place on the tart.
