“Tre Contrade” is a former wine farm and summer residence near Catania in Sicily, originally built around 1850 and subsequently abandoned in the 1960s. After a long and meticulous restoration by the current owners, the villa has returned to its former glory, with uninterrupted views of the sea, Etna and the lush evergreen countryside. The house is filled with Sicilian contemporary art, European furniture, a mix of antiques, modern and reclaimed objects collected by the owners through the years.
The property with its terraced grounds, today planted with lemon trees, is situated in the municipality of “Santa Venerina”, within the confines of the protected national park of Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano and a recent addition to Unesco’s world heritage sites (in 2013). Within a short drive you will find Unesco protected towns, world class wineries, untouched villages and long stretches of beach.
