Onion Tartlets with Anchovy

Make these delicious onion tartlets with anchovy, great party food. The sweet onion mixes beautifully with the salty anchovy.

Recipe
Onion Tartlets with Anchovy
Makes 8 tartlets
2 ½ dl flour
100 g cold butter cut in cubes
2 tbsp cold water
3 onions
1 garlic clove
butter for frying
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp dried thyme
1 dl water
8 anchovy fillets
Salt and pepper


Mix flour, butter and water swiftly to make a smooth dough.
Let rest in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Peel and slice the onion thinly, then fry slowly in butter until golden.
Add the sugar, thyme, salt and pepper.
Add water and let boil until the liquid has evaporated.
Set the oven to 225° C.
Press the pastry evenly into 8 small tart cases.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Take out, add the onion and anchovy.
Reheat for 10 minutes just before serving.
