The FCK plates are made in Portugal by skilled craftsmen from a rare clay variety that designer Frédérick Gautier has found in France, having the specific gray color he envisioned for his ‘céramique de béton’. After a first bake, the plates are glazed with a semi-reactive glaze and baked again. The result is a robust plate with an earthy color chosen by Frédérick and deliberately not homogeneous in color, to emphasize the artisanal character. Not two plates are the same!
