BOOK by Piet Hein Eek

Dutch Designer Piet Hein Eek is an established figure in the international scene and in particular in his home country of Holland. From his initial training at Design Academy Eindhoven, his career has unfolded to encompass the production of everthing from furniture, lighting and accessories to interiors and buildings. He distinguishes himself from his contemporaries by his unique self-production facility in Geldrop, where his honestly constructed designs are conceived and are then built by his skilled workshop team. Every one of his projects is informed by his profound fascination and understanding of materials, machines and processes. This book charts his progression and highlights significant moments in the development of new projects. His outstanding portfolio is showcased chronologically, offering a rare insight into the design process as well as the final outcome. Illustrated with over 800 images, this is the first publication on one of the most exciting and prolific designers working in Holland today.
