Back to basic for Christmas

The stove, 'piece de resistance' of the house, the tiles above the stove were painted by Anouk

In a small village in the Northern part of Holland lives Anouk with husband Leo, 3 children, sheep, chickens, dogs and a rabbit on a farm. For Christmas they prepare breakfast and dinner completely by homemade dishes; Leo hunts for a pheasant, they make their own jam and plum chutney and use beans and potatoes from their vegetable garden. Even all their Christmas decoration they make themselves.  Anouk is a potter and creates beautiful pottery like vases, pots and chinaware.

The wooden candlestick and the little angels hanging above the table are both presents from Anouk's mother who bought this in Denmark. The tablecloth is made by Anouk's mother
