Denim is denim-afficianado Amy Leverton’s follow up to her 2015 book Denim Dudes, and this time she’s focusing on women around the world wearing their favorite denim.
The book will focus on denim’s sexiness, and its history as “the ultimate fashion statement as well as the ultimate anti-fashion statement.” It will feature denim lovers across the United States, the U.K., Europe, Japan, and Australia, including innovators including Lot, Stock and Barrel in Los Angeles, Goodhood in London, and designers from cult brands including Rollas and Lorod.
Leverton has worked in the denim industry since 2003 including a stint as head of denim and youth culture at the trend forecasting website WGSN. She now operates her own company Denim Dudes out of Los Angeles, traveling around the world attending fashion shows, vintage shows, and music festivals in search of denim innovation
